How We Can Help

Custom Orthotics

Custom orthotics are specially-made devices designed to support and comfort your feet. Prescription orthotics are crafted for you and no one else. They match the contours of your feet precisely and are designed for the way you move.

Custom Shoe Mods

We know not all feet are the same, which is why it’s no surprise that much of the footwear bought today may not be a perfect fit for everyone.
We offer custom foot modifications for those who may need some tweaking to find the perfect fit. Visit our custom fit shoe store to find the perfect match.

In Depth Body Analysis

Come visit our facility to receive a full gait analysis, which includes our pressure mapping technology to get to know your body better. Our experts will analyze your impression and data collected from our analysis to recommend the best solution for you.

Common Foot Solutions We Offer In Marietta

Achilles Tendonitis

Do your calf muscles ache? Is the back of your heel and ankle swollen or tight? If so, you may be suffering from a common condition known as Achilles tendonitis.

Flat Feet

Flat feet can sometimes cause pain in the feet. This can occur as a result of strained muscles and connecting ligaments.

Pronation

Pronation is a natural motion of your foot during walking and running and simply the degree to which the arch of your foot collapses upon impact. When your feet over or under pronate it may cause injuries.

Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar fasciitis is one of the most common causes of heel pain. It also causes stabbing pain that usually occurs with your first steps in the morning and after long periods of standing.

About our Practice

Human feet are complex durable machines that support us and propel us on our way and when they hurt it affects our whole body. One solution to alleviating foot pain from, injury, disease or age related issues are orthotic inserts that fit into the shoe. They can be over the counter or custom made using molds made from the foot.

Rick Martinez is an ABC Board Certified Pedorthist. Mr. Martinez got into the profession in 1987 and holds a master’s degree in Orthopedic Shoe Making from Frankfurt Germany.  In the past Foot Dynamics, Inc.  worked primarily for doctors throughout the United States. In the last year the company has expanded it’s scope to include a ‘cash and carry’ service to individuals who are looking for foot, knee, hip and back pain relief without going through a doctor.

F.A.Q.

A custom orthotic is a shoe insert that is made to exactly fit the shape of your foot.  Orthotics are used to alleviate a variety of foot conditions including heel pain, flat feet, pain in the ball of the foot, high arched feet, various ligament and tendon injuries, diabetes, arthritis and more.

They are made by taking a cast mold of the foot, which is sent to our lab for precise fitting of the shape of the foot with specialized modifications that help the foot to function in its most ideal position. They can also be made through a direct scan of the foot, which will then utilize pressure mapping technology to better map out the pain points and imbalances.

Many foot problems are caused by bio-mechanical problems. To correct these problems an orthotic needs to be fabricated to each individual foot. At Foot Dynamics each orthotic is made from an impression of your feet, unique to you. This is the most effective way of treating the problem. Although a $15.00 arch support can be of some help, they are very limited and are manufactured in bulk to fit an “average foot”. Just like eyeglasses must be designed to meet the specific needs of your eyes, orthotics must be designed to treat the unique requirements of your feet.

Almost anyone can benefit from a custom pair orthotics. If you are wanting to correct your foot stance, relief any pain in the foot, or an active athlete looking for balance support, we create solutions for all of those areas of your life.

Orthotic Insoles especially benefit people with foot pain or discomfort due to walking imbalance (biomechanical complaint). Imbalances such as Flat feet, heel pain, knee pain and shin pain are known to cause pain and discomfort.

It is common for your orthotics to feel stiff at first but with some wear this stiffness will allow your foot to be properly supported and will feel better than before.  Although symptomatic relief will not occur overnight, consistently wearing orthotics for a period of time will help realign your feet and allow healing to occur as well as help prevent future pain or injury.

For the most part any shoe that has a removable insole will work with your custom orthotic. Just remove the insole that came with the shoe and replace it with the custom orthotic. Foot Dynamics also offers a carefully-selected line of footwear that can accommodate custom orthotics.

Our practice is here to help all of those who are in need of solutions to their orthopedic problems, and are serious about their well being. We do not take major insurance companies to cover our services.
